Greek Salad

This classic Mediterranean salad offers a perfect balance of flavors and textures, making it a delicious and nutritious addition to any meal or a delightful standalone dish that transports your taste buds to the sunny shores of Greece.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gram Cherry or Grape Tomatoes halved (~ 2 cups whole)
  • 200 gram Cucumber, English preferred diced (~ .5 english cucumber)
  • 200 gram Yellow or Orange Bell Pepper diced (~ 1.5 full size peppers)
  • 80 gram Red Onion diced
  • 58 gram Olive Oil 60 ml or ¼ cup
  • 30 gram White or Red Wine Vinegar 30 ml or 2 tbsp
  • 10 gram Lemon Juice 10 ml or 2 tsp
  • 1 gram Oregano, Dried 5 ml or 1 tsp
  • 1.5 gram Dill Weed, Dried 5 ml or 1 tsp
  • Salt & Pepper To taste
  • 125 gram Feta Cheese crumbled (~ 125ml or ½ cup)

Instructions
 

  • Wash all of your vegetables well, weigh / measure out the remainder of your ingredients and set aside.
  • Cut cherry tomatoes in half, set aside.
  • Cut red onion into a dice, set aside.
  • Cut cucumbers into a dice, set aside.
  • Cut, core, and seed peppers, dice and set aside.
  • Pour all of your ingredients, except for your Feta cheese into a bowl and mix well.
  • When you are about ready to serve your Greek salad, crumble the Feta cheese on top and mix into the salad well.

Notes

Be adventurous with this salad.
Don't be afraid to add other spices, or if you like peppers more add more peppers. Greek salad is very forgiving on the ratios.  If you don't have cherry tomatoes slice up some vine ripened or Roma tomatoes.
